Today I've been pondering the things I've heard God speak to me and show me for this season. Just sitting in my prayer room and envisioning their fulfillment, keeping hope alive, and walking where He leads. "But Mary was keeping within herself all these things (sayings), weighing and pondering them in her heart." (Luke 2:19 AMPC) We must stop and ponder the things God whispers to us, the promises He makes to us, and what we read in Scripture. Ponder - Strong's Definition: συμ
Our God says, “Calm down, and learn that I am God! One lesson I've learned, and continue to walk in, is the importance of being and not doing. Busy doesn't mean effective or impactful. It just means busy and it possibly means distraction]! Good things can be a distraction when it's not your assignment. I have to remind myself that just because I can doesn't mean I should! "Let all that I am wait quietly before God, for my hope is in him." (Psalms 62:5 NLT) God gave me this ma
GOD'S DIRECTION! "Lord, direct me throughout my journey so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you. Escort me along the way; take me by the hand and teach me. For you are the God of my increasing salvation; I have wrapped my heart into yours!" (Psalms 25:4-5 TPT) This is my heart's desire, I pray it is, or will become, yours also! FAITH CONFESSION: Lord, direct me throughout my life. I want to experience Your plans, not mine,
Many believers aren't walking in the fullness of Calvary. This could be because of ignorance of what's avaialabe, unbelief about what's available, no understanding of how to walk in what's available, or just plain being comfortable with salvation. Maybe some struggle with unworthiness or thinking that was then, this is now. Know this: "For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in
"For we walk by faith, not by sight." (II Corinthians 5:7 NKJV) The adventure begins with trusting God! Even when it doesn't feel good or look good we must choose to trust Him. He will show us the way. "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105 AMPC) I don't have to know the destination. I just need to take a step of faith. Wrong steps can be corrected. No step means I stay right where I am! I believe God has more for me and for you if we're willi
My I AM Loved Mastermind Class homework this week was to read Romans 8 and take time to ask the Father what He feels about you. Then write what Holy Spirit is saying to you. (You might want to do this also!)
This was powerful for me. I went through each verse and wrote the precious promises from God that I AM, and I HAVE available to me, because of God's love, and Jesus' sacrifice, for me. The assignment also made me think about the power that God has made available to me th
“You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise
God gave me a life-transforming adventure this summer. A 10 day trip that turned into two months away from home and routine! Anyone who really knows me knows the impact of what I said and the cost.
The Lord spoke this into my spirit decades ago, "I want you to freefall in Holy Spirit." I didn't fully know what that meant then! Type "A" recovering professional here, who always has a plan and my plans have backup plans!
To just be, without a plan, schedule, or anything fami
Listening to the I AM Righteous segment of my Mastermind Class again, with my journal. Taking notes, looking up Scriptures, and hitting the pause button numerous times to capture thoughts and images this session brings to mind. Transactional Righteousness is something that hit home for me. You know, where you think you can work for it or pay for it in some way. I know I can't work for it, bargain for it, barter for it, or pay for it. I just have to accept this gift of righte
We're in the final quarter of 2021. You still have time to start something new, finish something old, expand your mind, read a good book, write a chapter in the book you've always wanted to write, work on personal goals, lose weight, gain weight, start an exercise program, and so much more.
You still have time to encourage someone, speak life and hope into someone's life, forgive someone, accept that an apology you deserve is never going to happen and move on in peace while
So, this happened! It was waiting for me when I got home. My husband found the perfect place for it too!
Someone saw this and thought of me, based on my Chronicles from the Porch Devotions over the summer. I am blessed and loved by God. Only He knows the impact, and imprint, this gift had on me.
The notes that came with it were priceless and heartfelt, striking a cord deeply. The words breathed fresh life into my spirit. Sometimes, you may never know the impact you have o
"Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared." (Haggai 1:7 AMPC)
Every now and then we need to take an assessment of where we are, what we're doing, and why we're doing it.
In this transitional season, I'm asking myself some hard questions, (maybe you might want to consider some of these questions yourself, or create your own):
What demands am I putting on myself that may be causing stress? (If stress is prese
The adventure begins when we know who we are from God's perspective. When we look to the world for definition and validation we miss the fullness, and richness, of who we were created to be.
Study God's Word and learn how He sees you, who He created you to be. First and foremost, you are His child! As His child you have access to Him and all His resources. You're a joint heir with Jesus!
When we focus on developing our relationship with Him everything becomes clearer. We
This is my prayer room. This is where I fight my battles! My husband designed it for me. Most of the art is his "doodling," as he calls it. I am participating in an I AM MASTERMIND CLASS through Messenger International Sons and Daughters. Getting ready to listen to the first session again, take notes, listen for God's voice, ponder the questions and journal. I love this journal. I've had it for two years and felt led to pull it out now. What I love about it is that both the b
Know and read the Word for yourself. What you don't know can impact your spiritual health and growth. Just like you feed yourself in the natural, you must feed yourself spiritually. There are certain places you eat at and some you avoid, there should be the same awareness when it comes to spiritual food. Let it be prepared and served from the Father and not presented from individual interpretation or for crafty manipulation. Don't leave your spiritual growth solely in any on
Tomorrow will be the last official Chronicles from the Porch. Yes, I will continue writing, just not from the porch in Illinois. We are leaving in the morning to go home. After two months of being away, it's time. I'm so thankful for this time and how God orchestrated it. We surely didn't leave home thinking we'd be gone for two months, and maybe that's a good thing! Our plan was 10 days, but God had other plans! I'm so glad we listened. This has been a time of rest, peace, a
I encourage you not to give up. Take another step of faith. What you're doing for the Lord matters. I applaud your obedience! Yes, what you're doing matters, if what you're doing is ordered and directed by God and done to honor Him. Don't evaluate your success or impact by what you see, how you feel, or negative talk. You won't see the big picture looking in the now or listening to words that don't align with your God assignment. Your success will always be determined by you
I don't have to know the destination, I just need to take a step of faith. Wrong steps can be corrected. No step means I stay right where I am! God needs me to be active, to be about His business, not stagnant. God didn't create me to be comfortable. He created me to make an impact for His Kingdom. Sometimes we're waiting to do a big thing for God and He's waiting for us to just take a step. Don't let not knowing what to do paralyze you, causing you to do nothing. Ask yoursel
I love Mary and Martha's story in the Bible. A great visual of what's important. It's especially helpful for the type A personality that I am. It's a reminder that Mary moments are the important, and needed, moments. At times Martha does try to take over but Mary's determination to listen to, and be taught by, Jesus usually shuts her up for me. Lol! Now I say: Good Night! May you have sweet sleep and restoring rest! May you begin your day refreshed, renewed, revitalized, and
The most freeing experience is letting God handle it/them instead of me stressing over it, trying to reason it out, or trying to come up with a strategy to deal with it/them. I have found the best fool-proof strategy ever - let God handle it/them and stay purpose focused. Human reasoning will always fail us. We don't know what He, God, knows. We can't see what He, God, sees. What we can do is listen. Listen for His voice and seek His direction and we will walk in victory. I h
