Chosen by God!

On Wednesday night, God gave me a teachable moment, as Bernice would say, that hit home in a huge way.

I am teaching a class on, "How to Hear the Voice of God." Anyone that knows me knows I prepare. I brought my laptop to class to use for the soaking music and couldn't remember my password!, which meant I couldn't get into my laptop. I got so frustrated I had to take a timeout and sit quietly with God. (Thankfully I get to church early so I can set up and just be quiet with the Lord before teaching.)

I said, Lord, I'm teaching a class on how to hear Your voice. It would be really nice if You'd tell me my password. Silence! I'm like, really Lord, You're not talking now? I've got class in a little while. Silence! And that made me more frustrated. In other words Leisa wasn't in control.

I got over myself and asked someone if they could pull up some soaking music on their phone. We plugged in the speakers and kept it moving forward, as Mrs. Katharyn would say!

Lesson learned - I'm not in control no matter how much I plan and prepare.

And of course, as soon as I got home and plugged in my laptop I remembered the password! God definitely has a sense of humor.
