Chosen by God!

“Now we look inside, and what we see is that anyone united with the Messiah gets a fresh start, is created new. The old life is gone; a new life burgeons! Look at it! All this comes from the God who settled the relationship between us and him, and then called us to settle our relationships with each other.” (II Corinthians 5:17-18 MSG)

Though justice for criminal activity is a government responsibility, we as believers can correct the results of our mistakes in our relationships with others. We do this by taking responsibility for those mistakes, and doing all we can to correct them.

It’s our job to bring restoration to the areas of our lives where we’ve hurt or destroyed others and ourselves. We can only do this with the help of the Holy Spirit. He will lead and guide us to all truth. He will show us what to say and do.

The Word tells us we must live in peace with one another. "If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." (Romans 12:18 NKJV) In order to do this we must resolve any issues we may have with one another in love, grace, and mercy. We may need to apologize or make restitution. Whatever it takes, we must do that, our spiritual health depends on that.
