Chosen by God!

"In every situation [no matter what the circumstances] be thankful and continually give thanks to God; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus." (I Thessalonians 5:18 AMP)

Remember - He didn't say be thankful FOR the situation. He said be thankful IN the situation!

Choosing humor in the situations of life can keep us from being bitter!

I guess this is one advantage to being unemployed! I get to turn over and bury deeper into the covers, instead of facing the cold! LOL! Of course, I'd really rather be working! Another advantage is, while being sick these past 3 weeks I didn't have to get a doctor's note to return to work, so I didn't have to go the doctor! LOL! (P.S. - I'm completely well now!)

All kidding aside, we must choose joy even in the midst of pain. We must choose thankfulness, even when there doesn’t appear to be anything to be thankful about. Joy gives us the strength to face the challenges of life while thankfulness allows us to have peace in the challenges of life.

“Don’t be dejected and sad, for the joy of the Lord is your strength!” (Nehemiah 8:10 NLT)
