Chosen by God!

There is nothing that is going on in this world that is a surprise to God, absolutely nothing. His Word tells us we will have persecutions in this life and for us to be of good cheer because He’s taken care of everything.

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33 AMP)

God has given the world a gift, Jesus, and a choice. Those who choose His redemptive plan will live with Him eternally. We will face challenges on earth but we must remember this is not our home, we’re just passing through. We can also take heart that we know the end of the story through the Word. We win. Those who choose to decline His redemptive plan will live eternally separated from Him.

It can be easy to lose heart as we see the evil in the world. However, we must continue to trust God and His redemptive plan. A loving Father, that would sacrifice His only Son for us, will not leave us or forsake us.

"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5b AMP)
