Chosen by God!

Even though moral and ethical foundations may be eroding, we should ask God to help us stay true to biblical values. In a world where spiritual and moral foundations are being destroyed, Jesus addressed this issue by telling us we must be like a house built on solid ground.

We are going to have challenges that could cause us to slip, fail, or fall, but, if we are anchored in the Word, have our eyes on Jesus, and are intentional about making decisions, or answering questions, based on the Word we can stand We must spend time in God’s Presence and in His Word daily. We can’t have a hit or miss relationship with Him and expect to stand. The devil works through deception, discouragement, disconnect, and so many subtle things that if we are not grounded in the Word would could compromise.

We live in a time where spiritual and moral foundations are being destroyed. We must know the Word personally to be able to recognize the subtly changing and blurring lines in order to stand where God wants us to stand. Only the Word will keep us. It all comes down to making a choice to obey God or obey man. There is no middle road.

“But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” (Joshua 24:15 NLT)

Then Peter and the apostles replied, “We must obey God rather than men [we have no other choice].” (Acts 5:29 AMP)
