Chosen by God!
We are to love and pray for our enemies. A desire for justice does not negate biblical teaching to love and pray for our enemies, to speak words of encouragement, to imitate Jesus, to demonstrate Christlike behavior, and so much more. In walking according to the Word God can use situations, encounters, to transform lives. While it may not look like anything is happening we can be encouraged by this Scripture:
“I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the increase.” (I Corinthians 3:6 NKJV)
I am not saying this is easy, especially the loving your enemies and praying for them, however it is possible. The reason it is possible is we don’t do it on our own. God has given us the Holy Spirit who now lives in us and gives us the ability to love!
“Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” (Romans 5:5 NKJV)
