Chosen by God!
We should feel free to share our frustrations and unanswered questions sincerely and respectfully with God. It is important for us to understand that we can openly share our negative thoughts and feelings with God. He loves us. He cares about everything that concerns us. He wants to be in the details of our lives. He wants relationship with us. In loving someone it causes us to care about them, and what concerns them. We listen to the good and the bad, the happy and the sad.
We don’t have to hide from God. He knows everything about us. It’s in sharing these negative thoughts and feelings that God can begin to heal us and bring us to a point of peace. That’s why He tells us:
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7 NLT)
We may never get answers we want, in the way we want them, however in Him we will get peace and His grace to endure our circumstances and come out victoriously. We have this assurance through Jesus Christ.
This is one of the benefits we can enjoy when we have a relationship with God:
“Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” (I Peter 5:7 AMPC)
We can give it all to Him. Why? Because He cares for us affectionately and He cares about us watchfully. We have God’s affection and relationship. Ultimately we must come to understand that only God can change our circumstances while changing us, and our perspective, in the circumstance. It may not look different but we will look at it differently when we take it to God. Not only will we walk in His peace, and grace, we will get His perspective.
