Chosen by God!

The power and Presence of God is manifested in praise. He said in His Word that He inhabits the praises of His people. When we praise God we are brought to the very throne room of God. Praise empowers us because in praise our hearts and minds are fully on God and not on ourselves or our problems. Praise is all about God first and all about us honoring God as our Creator, our Father, and the Lover of our souls. Once we’ve been in the Presence of a holy God we are forever changed. We’re empowered through our encounter with God.

In praise God is on the scene, “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” (Psalm 22:3 KJV) Praise also stills the avenger, “Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger.” (Psalm 8:2 NIV)

There is so much untapped power in praise. Praise lifts our hearts and our minds. Praise quiets Satan, causing him to flee. Praise gives us a proper perspective of our lives and the challenges we face. Praise allows us to touch the heart of God and that makes praise a priority in my life.

I've been praying for God's glory cloud when I open service on Sunday's. I believe He will show Himself in the unusual when we truly praise Him from an unselfish heart. When our praise is all about Him then He things will change.

I picture Him as proud Poppa, listening to the praises of His Children and just smiling and basking in it. I love this picture of Him!
