Ask God!

Updated: Jan 7, 2020

Chosen by God!

The Word is our guide and our direction that's why it's so critical to know it. We can be so quick to talk the problem instead of talking to the Problem Solver. God tells us in Psalms One for us not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly. He also tells us there is no communion with light and darkness, righteousness and lawlessness, and believers and unbelievers.

Then there's this example:

"Just after that, Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah and said, "Because you went for help to the king of Aram and didn't ask God for help, you've lost a victory over the army of the king of Aram. Didn't the Ethiopians and Libyans come against you with superior forces, completely outclassing you with their chariots and cavalry? But you asked God for help and he gave you the victory. God is always on the alert, constantly on the lookout for people who are totally committed to him. You were foolish to go for human help when you could have had God's help. Now you're in trouble—one round of war after another." (II Chronicles 16:7-9 MSG)

We must ask ourselves:

Who do you go to for help? Did you seek human help or God's help?

I'm learning to seek God first. I'm not always successful but I try.

Intimate relationship/fellowship with Him and in His Word on a daily basis is critical to us. Jesus when confronted by the devil stood victorious, not because He was the Son of God, but because He responded with, "It is Written," the Word of God. Since the Son of God needed, used, the Word we must do the same. Jesus is our example.
