Praying the Word of God

Chosen by God!

God says in His Word:

“Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12 AMPC)

This tells me that when I pray God’s Word I have His attention and His promise to act on His Word, because He watches over His Word to perform it.

He also said:

“So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” (Isaiah 55:11 AMPC)

This means that His Word cannot fail. It will do what it says as long as we walk according to His Word.

Today I want to share some scriptural prayers. First I will give you the Scripture then the prayer.

"If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land." (II Chronicles 7:14 AMPC)

Scriptural Prayer:

Thank You that I am called by Your Name Father. Today I humble myself before you to pray, to determinedly seek your face as my vital necessity. I crave you. I need You. You are life to me. With Your help I will turn from my wicked ways. I trust You to hear from Heaven, forgive my sin, and heal my land.

"Have mercy on me, O God, because of your unfailing love. Because of your great compassion, blot out the stain of my sins. Wash me clean from my guilt. Purify me from my sin. For I recognize my rebellion it haunts me day and night. Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me. Do not banish me from your presence, and don’t take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you." (Psalm 51:1-3 & 10-12 NLT)

Scriptural Prayer:

Have mercy on me O God. Against You, and You only have I sinned. Wash me clean. Purify me from my sin and rebellion. Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me. Let me ever be in Your presence and the presence of Your Holy Spirit. Make me a new person in You. Restore to me the joy of my salvation. Hallelujah! I am forgiven.

"We do not know what to do, but our eyes are upon You." (II Chronicles 20:12 AMPC)

Scriptural Prayer:

Lord, I don’t know what to do but my eyes are on You. You are my deliverance, my strength, and my peace. I have set my face like flint focused on You. I will not be moved until Your Word is performed in my life and in my circumstance.
