Chosen by God!
In order to know your inheritance in Christ you must read the “will!” Everything God has for us is outlined in His Word. This is why it is so important to know the Word of God. There are some things we are allowing in our lives that Jesus already overcame for us. There are some battles we are fighting that Jesus already won for us. When we know where we stand in Christ life will never overcome us. In Him we can live from victory to victory.
On Day 1 our point was, “As a Child of God, You Have an Inheritance.” Today we will look at our second point:
#2 – Know The Gifts You Have Access To:
Today, let's unwrap two of the gifts we’ve been given as God's children:
Peace – John 14:27 AMPC: “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”
When we allow ourselves to be fearful, intimidated, cowardly, and unsettled, then we haven’t accepted the gift of peace. Peace doesn’t mean the absence of trouble. It means the Presence of God in the trouble and our faith and trust that He is in control. It also means that while we may have trouble, trouble does not have the right to have us!
John 16:33 AMPC: “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”
Love – Jeremiah 31:3 NLT: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness."
God’s love for us is not performance based. He’s not going to love us any more than He already does; nor will He love us any less than He already does.
Romans 8:38-39 AMPC: “For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
Are you convinced, beyond all doubt, of God’s love for you? Do you know that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate you from His love? We must settle this in our minds and in our hearts. God’s love for us was expressed in Christ Jesus and sealed in Christ Jesus. To deny His love for us is to deny the blood of Jesus.
Tomorrow we will unwrap more of the gifts that are available to us through our inheritance in Christ.
