Chosen by God!
Today, we will continue to read the “will!” As we discovered yesterday, the “will” is the Word of God. Everything we need for life has been included in the Bible. It’s important that we study the Word of God as it has the directions for our lives.
On Day 1 our point was, “As a Child of God, You Have an Inheritance.” On Days 2 and 3 our point was, “Know the Gifts You Have Access To.” Today we will continue looking at those gifts:
#4 – Know The Gifts You Have Access To, Part III:
Answered Prayer – I John 5:14-15 AMPC: “This is the [remarkable degree of] confidence which we [as believers are entitled to] have before Him: that if we ask anything according to His will, [that is, consistent with His plan and purpose] He hears us. And if we know [for a fact, as indeed we do] that He hears and listens to us in whatever we ask, we [also] know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted to us] the requests which we have asked from Him.”
He’s given us a vehicle to communicate with Him – Prayer.
Jeremiah 1:12 AMPC: “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.”
Isaiah 55:11 AMPC: “So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
The key to answered prayer is praying God’s Word. When we pray His Word we can be assured that it will not return to Him void and God watches over His Word to perform it.
Numbers 23:19 NLT: “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?”
We can be confident in His Word because God does not, cannot, will not, lie! Base your prayers on His Word and He will answer.
Tomorrow we will unwrap more gifts that are available to us through our inheritance in Christ.
