Chosen by God!
“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He also has planted eternity in men’s hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy], yet so that men cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 AMPC)
It's all about perspective. I'm trying to make decisions and take action based on eternity. All of the "stuff" that has us, entangled, or tries to entangle us really won't matter when we're in the Presence of the Lord in heaven! So is it worth our energy now? That's how I'm evaluating things that come my way!
Disclaimer: I don't always do it and get it right. It's what I'm trying to do, learn to focus on the needful thing, like Mary did!
"But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things.
