Looking at the Word - John 5:30

Chosen by God!

“[I have no desire to do what is pleasing to Myself, My own aim, My own purpose] but only the will and pleasure of the Father Who sent Me.” (John 5:30b AMPC)

Faith Confession:

Lord, let me not desire to do what is pleasing to myself or others. I don’t want to seek my own aim or purpose. I want to consistently desire to desire to do what is pleasing to You. I desire for Your heart’s desires to become my agenda.

Teach me daily how to make You, Your desires and commands my priority every single day. Order my day so that You are first. I don’t want anything to become more important in my life than You and Your hearts desires. Immediately convict me when I get off track. I want You to interrupt my day whenever You choose to. I don’t want anything else to take first place in my life, or in my heart.

Like Paul, I say, I am not trying to win the approval of anyone. I desire only Your approval, which is cemented in the finished work of Jesus on Calvary. I live for an audience of One – that’s You Abba Father.

Be Encouraged! ❤
