Challenges...Pain - Trust God!

Chosen by God!

“We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan.” (Romans 8:28 The Voice)

There is nothing that happens to us that catches God by surprise. Nothing. Absolutely nothing. We might be surprised but God is not surprised.

I've been looking at challenges and pain from a different perspective. I see them as springboards instead of setbacks! Instead of falling apart and staying apart I’ve learned to ask God to show me the lesson in the challenge and the pain. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be fearful, apprehensive when faced with challenges and pain. However, it’s what we do to combat those emotions that will position us to move. Let’s take a page out of King Jehoshaphat’s book when he was told his enemies had surrounded him on all side. There was, seemingly, no way out.

“Then Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself [determinedly, as his vital need] to seek the Lord; he proclaimed a fast in all Judah.” (II Chronicles 20:3 AMPC)

Choose to seek God in the challenge, through the pain. Sometimes it's only through the pain that we even embrace change! I'm praying to get to the point where I move before pain is necessary, the catalyst, to cause me to move. I'm not saying that will prevent pain but I do know it would have prevented some of the pain I've experienced!

I'm so thankful that God wastes nothing, no experience. He uses it all to make us look more like Him. As we approach the next challenge, pain, or setback, (because they are coming), can we approach it as a character building moment instead of allowing it to cause us to become discouraged?

Be Encouraged! ❤
