Chosen by God!

Sometimes you read a Scripture and you just get stuck right there. I got stuck at the uncircumcised spirit and heart!

“A time is coming,” says the Lord, “when I will punish all those who are circumcised in body but not in spirit—the Egyptians, Edomites, Ammonites, Moabites, the people who live in the desert in remote places, and yes, even the people of Judah. And like all these pagan nations, the people of Israel also have uncircumcised hearts.” (Jeremiah 9:25-26 NLT)

I just know I don't want that to be my fate. My heart breaks in reading about Judah. All they experienced yet still continued to disobey. But isn't that so like us? That's why I've got to stay in His Presence and in His Word. More of Him less, and I mean LESS, of me. Just want to be purified. Obedience is key.

Let this be our prayer:

Generous in love—God, give grace! Huge in mercy—wipe out my bad record. Scrub away my guilt, soak out my sins in your laundry. Soak me in your laundry and I'll come out clean, scrub me and I'll have a snow-white life. Tune me in to foot-tapping songs, set these once-broken bones to dancing. Don't look too close for blemishes, give me a clean bill of health. God, make a fresh start in me, shape a Genesis week from the chaos of my life. Don't throw me out with the trash, or fail to breathe holiness in me." (Psalm 51:1-2, 7-10 MSG)

Our loving Abba Father has a fresh start with your name on it. Just ask Him. I'm praying for God to shape a Genesis week in my life. You know what that means? Creation! Newness! Rebirth! New Life! Anybody with me?
