Chosen by God!

Today is the sixth day of my birthday month, my New Year.

My focus today is on allowing myself to have an off day.

I have to remember that nothing, and no one, is perfect, beginning with ME! Things aren’t going to go the way I plan or hope, most of the time. I have to be okay with that. Now this is no small feat for a type “A,” wants to be in control, recovering professional!" I mean shouldn’t things happen the way I planned? Yes! No, of course not! Well, maybe sometimes!

Life happens and I have to learn to roll with it or get rolled over by it! This is where God’s peace comes in and saves the day. I can let things bother me or I can choose peace in the midst of the storms of life.

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33 AMPC)

What I am facing is temporary, both the good and the not so good things. Nothing lasts forever. The only constant in all that I face is Jesus. He does not, will not, and cannot change. I can rest assured of His love for me while availing myself of the peace He provides.

Reflection Nugget – Even when I’m off, God is always on! What I see as unproductive, God sees as refreshing.
