Chosen by God!

Grace and peace be multiplied to you through the knowledge of Jesus Christ!

I remember one of my devotionals focused on Psalm 31:14-15:

"But I am trusting you, O Lord, saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly." (NLT)

The writer shared two sentences that took me to study and pray this psalm:

"Desperate prayer turned to confident worship."

"Trust turns our despair into worship."

As I read Psalm 31 line by line, stopping to consider the words, I could relate a lot of it to my circumstances and my feeling a little off lately. I don't know how to explain the feelings but I do know that by the time I finished reading Psalm 31 and writing prayers for the specific verses that spoke to my situation and my heart I could declare like David,

"Praise the Lord, for he has shown me the wonders of his unfailing love. He kept me safe when my city was under attack." (Verse 21)

I also feel very strong and courageous now, confidently hoping in God, my loving Abba Father.

I pray that as you consider Psalm 31 today that you'll experience the same Balm in Gilead that I did. From tears to joy, a touch from God.
