Encouragement Nugget - Keys to Activate Your Faith!

Chosen by God!

The Word of God is a tremendous gift that gives us the power to know and do the will of God, the power to pray with certainty and boldness in all situations, and the power to know that God hears us when we pray according to His will. We access this power through faith.

For faith to work we must:

Walk in love – “For [if we are] in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision counts for anything, but only faith activated and energized and expressed and working through love.” (Galatians 5:6 AMPC)

Walk in forgiveness – “Jesus was matter-of-fact: ‘Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, 'Go jump in the lake'—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it's as good as done. That's why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you'll get God's everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it's not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.’" (Mark 11:22-25 MSG)

Unforgiveness will impact the power of God’s Word operating effectively in your life.

Unforgiveness will impact your prayer life. (Ever wonder why your prayers aren’t being answered? Could there be some unforgiveness somewhere? It’s something to think about.)

Most importantly, unforgiveness will impact your receiving forgiveness from God when you ask for it. When we choose not to forgive others, we’ve also chosen not to receive God’s forgiveness.

“In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can't get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God's part.” (Matthew 6:14-15 MSG)

Don’t break the connection of intimacy with God, walking in His blessings, hearing His voice through unforgiveness. Choose forgiveness, even if the other person is in the wrong or doesn’t accept your apology. Why? You’ve been obedient to God, and He will honor that. Make it right with your brother/sister first, then you can come boldly to the throne and receive God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness. It’s not easy, but it is required by God. Be assured that what God requires us to do, He also equips us to do.

Be Encouraged! ❤
