Chosen by God!
God’s heart is that none should perish. The gift of salvation is extended to every person regardless of who they are or what they have done. No one is excluded, absolutely no one! There are no exceptions to salvation.
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” (Romans 3:23-24 NLT)
We must care about what God cares about. This should become our heart also as we live day to day.
“Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you, beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day. The Lord does not delay and is not tardy or slow about what He promises, according to some people’s conception of slowness, but He is long-suffering (extraordinarily patient) toward you, not desiring that any should perish, but that all should turn to repentance.” (II Peter 3:8-9 AMPC)
Jesus gave us this command:
“Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”” (Matthew 28:19-20 NLT)
This is what believers should be doing while still on the earth, sharing God’s love as shown in His redemption and salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Even in all of this we must tell that while God is a god of love He is also a god of judgment. There are consequences when people choose to ignore the Jesus’ gift of salvation. This is the reason we must be intentional about telling others about Jesus. Don’t leave anyone out and don’t count anyone out. Jesus died for everyone. There were no exclusion on Calvary! If Jesus didn’t exclude them then neither should we.
