Chosen by God!

“You are good and do good; Teach me Your statutes.” (Psalm 119:68 NASB)

God is good and He only does good. We can ask Him to teach us His ways, His commandments.

This Scripture is a reminder that God is good. No matter what is going on around us, or happening to us, God is good. Nothing changes the character of God.

“I am the Lord, and I do not change.” (Malachi 3:6a NLT)

We can count on God’s consistency in everything.

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” (Numbers 23:19 NLT)

“And do good” in this verse is the Hebrew word yâṭab, which means, make well, literally (sound, beautiful); be accepted, amend, use aright, benefit, be (make) better, seem best, make cheerful, be comely, be content; find favor, give, be glad

There is so much more to doing good from God's perspective. It covers so much. God’s doing good will always benefit us and others.

I am always looking to learn more about God and I love that He will teach us His ways when we ask Him. He wants us to know Him intimately and when we are diligent to seek Him, to know Him, He will reveal Himself to us. He hides nothing from us.
