Chosen by God!

“We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:5 NLT)

You have control over what you allow to take up residence in your mind and in your heart. You don’t have to accept what the enemy says, what is contrary to God’s Word, as your truth. The enemy can only win when you believe, accept, the lie!

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” (II Corinthians 10:5 KJV)

You destroy, you capture, you cast down, you bring it into captivity is what stood out for me in this verse in the NLT and KJV. That means you must be active in controlling what goes on in your mind and what you allow to take up residence in your mind and heart. You really have control over more than you think. Exchange the lies of the enemy with God’s Truth, found in His Word.
