Some days:
I don't see the value in what I do.
I just want to shut it all down.
I wonder if what I do makes a difference.
My flesh gets weary.
Some days:
I feel undervalued, unappreciated, and taken advantage of.
I have been disrespected, overlooked, uninvited, and verbally abused while serving others.
Then I remember:
God gave me this assignment because He knew He could trust me with it. It is His strength that empowers me. I am not alone. All I have to do when I get weary and feel ready to quit is to press into Him and remember my why. My goal is His, "Well done, My good and faithful servant."
I want to encourage you, and me, to keep doing what God called and equipped you to do. His calling is not a mistake. It doesn't matter what others think or do. You, and I, must be faithful to do what God called us to do.
Our feelings are not an indicator of our impact! We are responsible for obedience to God, and He is responsible for the results. Trust Him and rest in Him no matter what and keep walking in your purpose. You matter! You make a difference! Don't lose sight of that!
I hold on to these Scriptures, making them personal by adding my name, to encourage myself to continue walking in what God has called me to do:
"The Almighty LORD will teach me what to say, so I will know how to encourage weary people. Morning after morning he will wake me to listen like a student. The Almighty LORD will open my ears. I will not rebel, nor will I turn away [from him]." (Isaiah 50:4-5 GWT)
"Ezra was determined to study the LORD's Teachings, live by them, and teach their rules and regulations in Israel." (Ezra 7:10 GWT)
"And your ears will hear a word behind you, saying, This is the way; walk in it, when you turn to the right hand and when you turn to the left." (Isaiah 30:21 AMPC)
Be Encouraged! ❤
