"Thus says the Lord of hosts: Consider your ways (your previous and present conduct) and how you have fared." (Haggai 1:7 AMPC) Every now and then we need to take an assessment of where we are, what we're doing, and why we're doing it. In this transitional season, I'm asking myself some hard questions, (maybe you might want to consider some of these questions yourself, or create your own): What demands am I putting on myself that may be causing stress? (If stress is present then possibly I'm moving in my strength and not leaning on God's strength.) What assignments have I taken on that are not mine? (Just because I can, doesn't mean I should.) What have I put on my plate that needs to be removed? (Be okay with removing an assignment when you recognize God didn't assign it to you, that you took it on, possibly without consulting Him first.) Who have I granted access to that should not have access, or only limited access? (Everyone can't sit at the table of your heart or have 24/7 access. Choose your inner circle wisely.) Am I enjoying life in abundance, to the full, until it overflows, as promised in John 10:10? (If no is the answer what needs to change?) Have I created an unrealistic pace for myself? (Apply grace liberally!) Have I said yes when I should have said no? (Let prayer guide answers, not emotions or ability.) Is my why anchored in pleasing God and bringing glory to His name or is it in pleasing others and making a name for myself? (Yes, we have to do a motive check. We can start right and detour along the way. So make sure your why is firmly anchored in the Word of God and pleasing Him. Also, make course corrections whenever necessary.) MY PRAYER: Lord, help me not to stress about things I cannot control. Help me to cast that care on You and leave it there. You always have the answers, I don't and I need to stop wasting time, energy, and resources trying to figure out what only You can work out. I don't want to carry the burden of stress. Instead, I want to live life abundantly, to the full, until it overflows! Lord, show me what I'm doing that I should not be doing. Show me clearly what needs to be removed from my plate and what needs to stay. Align my heart, steps, and goals with Your heart so I can walk in step with You. #LeisaWilkins #EncouragementInTheWord Be Encouraged! ❤ www.leisawilkins.com

It is a blessing when we remember to consult with God before we take on new responsibilities. Such a blessing to walk through life stress free.
