CALM IN THE STORM!

“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33 AMPC)

You can keep calm during a Tsunami, when your focus is on Jesus. When you consider your circumstances, you could become overwhelmed and want to quit. Remember, Peter walked on water, as long as His eyes were on Jesus. When he considered the storm around him that’s when he began to sink. When he called out to Jesus, He rescued him. If you feel overwhelmed and unsure in your storm, just call out to Jesus. He listens and He will help you. (You can read the account of this in Matthew 14:22-33 to gain a deeper understanding of this.)

The Israelites were paralyzed with fear facing Goliath because they focused on his size. Then come’s David declaring what the God of Israel can do. He also recognized it wasn't his fight. While Goliath was outwardly taunting the Israelites, he was taunting Almighty God. David recognized this. David was the instrument God used to destroy Goliath and silence the reproach. (You can read the full account of this in 1st Samuel 17 to gain a deeper understanding of this.)

Be encouraged by this. Remember what God can do and will do. hiding His Word in your heart is the key to walking in His peace. In the midst of seemingly Tsunami like storms, rest in Jesus. He's right there with you. Trust Him for the outcome! It's not always easy but it is doable. It's your choice. (See Matthew 8:23-27 to gain a deeper understanding of this.)

"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [[g]Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5b AMPC)

Hold on to this promise in the midst of your storms:

“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together to fit into God’s perfect plan of bringing good into our lives, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” (Romans 8:28 TPT)

Be Encouraged! ❤
