CHANGE HAS A PURPOSE!

Updated: Aug 29, 2022

“So we are convinced that every detail of our lives is continually woven together for good, for we are his lovers who have been called to fulfill his designed purpose.” (Romans 8:28 TPT)

FAITH CONFESSION:

Abba Father, I am convinced that every detail of my life is continually woven together by You for good. No matter how it looks or feels it serves a purpose and is used by You to fulfill Your designed purpose for me.

“The steps of a [good] man are directed and established by the Lord when He delights in his way [and He busies Himself with his every step].” (Psalm 37:23 AMPC)

FAITH CONFESSION:

My steps are directed and established, (set; fixed firmly; founded; ordained; enacted; ratified; confirmed – Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary), by You Lord and You busy Yourself with my every step. You are in the details leaving nothing to chance. My steps are ordered by You.

Because You order my steps Father, I must be prepared for change. I can plan for change, the process of change, so I’m not a victim of change. When change comes all I have to remember is, You are with me and it didn’t catch You by surprise so, You will guide me through it victoriously.

“Since life involves a continual series of transitions, we should endeavor to be always prepared to respond to change rather than react to it. If you react, you are a victim. If you respond, you are a victor. If you react, change leads your life. If you respond, you lead change in your life. The only defense against the negative impact of change is the anticipation of, and preparation for, its inevitability. The ability to respond rather than react puts you in control and reduces change to servanthood. Responding to change gives you the ability to use change for your benefit." (Dr. Myles Munroe)

Change opens the door to growth, and it also shines a light on things I can do that I might not have been aware of. Change allows me to live up to the potential You placed in me by stretching me. I must make friends with change because change is inevitable. If I’m not changing, I’m not growing. If I’m not growing, then I am stagnant, and stagnation is the enemy of change.

Stagnant – To cease to flow; to be motionless; To cease to move; not to be agitated. Water that stagnates in a pond or reservoir, soon becomes foul; To cease to be brisk or active; to become dull; (Noah Webster 1828 Dictionary)

“To everything there is a season, and a time for every matter or purpose under heaven.” (Ecclesiastes 3:1 AMPC

FAITH CONFESSION:

Abba Father, I embrace change and will see it as an opportunity for growth. Even when change is hard or even painful help me to see the lesson to learn, the strength to gain, and the good You are working out in me and for me. May I never forget that I never walk alone. You are always there because You promised to never leave me.

“For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5b AMPC)
