Treasured by God!
Love covers even when the other person acts in a way that makes you want to broadcast exactly what they did! When we cover a sin we are most like Jesus.
I was attacked verbally with words I do not use or have ever had used against me. Not going into details. Instead I want to praise God for spiritual growth and maturity.
I did not react or respond in kind. Instead, I separated myself from the person to give them time with God to heal. My presence in their lives was no longer beneficial to either of us. The magnitude of pain that person must be feeling, in order to say what was said, tells me there is a deeper need for Jesus and healing in their life.
In the meantime my assignment is to pray for them whenever they come to mind.
"Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others]." (1 Peter 4:8 AMPC)
