Treasured by God!
"SO, SINCE Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], so that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills." (I Peter 4:1-2 AMPC)
PRAYER:
Lord, let me patiently suffer rather than fail to please You. I want to be done with intentional sin, and stop pleasing myself and the world. My focus is on pleasing You, Abba Father.
I have the mind of Christ. Let Your mind dictate my thoughts, actions, and words. I will not spend the rest of my natural life consumed with fulfilling my human appetites and desires but will live to do what You will.
Thank You for Your Holy Spirit that will lead and guide me to truth, the right path, and give me the ability to make the right choices. I offer this prayer in the Name of Jesus, Amen.
