THE ENCOURAGEMENT CORNER with Pastor Leisa:

Updated: Apr 24

In an ever-changing world knowing God doesn't change gives me peace and stability. It all has to do with Who He is and nothing to do with me or circumstances I face.

"For I am the Lord, I do not change." (Malachi 3:6a AMPC)

I love that His Word is personal. He sees me. He knows me. He responds to me. I think He sees all of us as the unique individuals He created so, one size does not fit all.

"Thereafter, Hagar used another name to refer to the Lord, who had spoken to her. She said, “You are the God who sees me.” She also said, “Have I truly seen the One who sees me?” (Genesis 16:13 NLT)

"See, I have written your name on the palms of my hands. Always in my mind is a picture of Jerusalem’s walls in ruins." (Isaiah 49:16 NLT)

I also love that God's Word is alive and active. It's not dead or irrelevant because God isn't dead or irrelevant. Life in His Word brings life to me and to any situation I may face. God is never surprised. He sees what I can't, and He knows what I don't.

"God means what he says. What he says goes. His powerful Word is sharp as a surgeon’s scalpel, cutting through everything, whether doubt or defense, laying us open to listen and obey. Nothing and no one can resist God’s Word. We can’t get away from it—no matter what." (Hebrews 4:12‭-‬13 MSG)

I usually say it like this:

God's not in heaven calling a 911 meeting with Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the angels because something happened to us that He had no idea about! Nothing catches Him by surprise.

For every question He has an answer. For every challenge He has a solution. I'm thankful.

Be Encouraged! ❤
