Forgive - The Cost of Unforgiveness is too High to Pay

May 2, 2016

Chosen by God!

“In prayer there is a connection between what God does and what you do. You can't get forgiveness from God, for instance, without also forgiving others. If you refuse to do your part, you cut yourself off from God's part.” (Matthew 6:14-15 MSG)

The price for unforgiveness is too high to pay. Nothing, or no one, is worth having our prayers go unanswered!

“This is how I want you to conduct yourself in these matters. If you enter your place of worship and, about to make an offering, you suddenly remember a grudge a friend has against you, abandon your offering, leave immediately, go to this friend and make things right. Then and only then, come back and work things out with God.” (Matthew 5:23-24 MSG)

Our loving Abba Father does not want our gifts if we’ve not extended the gift of forgiveness to others. Relationships matter to Him, so they must matter to us.

Don’t break the connection of intimacy with God, walking in His blessings, hearing His voice through unforgiveness. Choose forgiveness, even if the other person is in the wrong or doesn’t accept your apology. Why? You’ve been obedient to God, and He will honor that. Make it right with your brother/sister first, then you can come boldly to the throne and receive God’s grace, mercy, and forgiveness. It’s not easy, but it is required by God.  Be assured that what God requires us to do, He also equips us to do.

Be Encouraged! ❤
