Encouragement Nugget - Empowered by Waiting!

Chosen by God!

“Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of His understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired.” (Isaiah 40:28-31 AMPC)

God does not grow faint or weary. His understanding is unlimited. He gives power when we are faint and weary. He multiplies our strength. Waiting on the Lord renews our strength and power. We can rise above our circumstances, see from God’s perspective. Weariness will not overtake us.

When I read this Scripture I thought of empowerment and this verse of Scripture came to mind:

“In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].” (Ephesians 6:10 AMPC)

Our union with God gives us strength. He empowers us. He never tires or grows weary. He is always there for us to turn to. He’s a place of restoration, strength, and empowerment. On our own we may not be able to do anything, or even want to do anything, but with God we can do everything.

Waiting on the Lord is a state of being, a process. It’s not a time of inactivity. It’s a time of preparation. It’s a time of positioning. It’s a time of growth. It’s a time of character building. . It’s a time of seeking Him, digging deeper into His Word, spending time with Him, praise, worship, prayer, and resting in your faith in Him and His peace. It may even be a time of renewal. It's during these times that God has our attention. Waiting on the Lord has never been about kicking back, but of stepping up, so we can step into.

Wait in this verse is the Hebrew word qâvâh which means – to bind together (perhaps by twisting); gather (together), look, patiently, tarry, wait (for, on, upon).

Wow! Just wow! Waiting on God binds me together with Him! It gives me a greater sense of expectation! Yes Lord, I will wait on You!

Be Encouraged! ❤
