Love One Another

Chosen by God!

“Little children (believers, dear ones), let us not love [merely in theory] with word or with tongue [giving lip service to compassion], but in action and in truth [in practice and in sincerity, because practical acts of love are more than words].” (I John 3:18 AMP)

For some, we will be their only experience with the Word, with Jesus. They may never open a Bible or set foot in a church. It’s for these reasons that we must live what we believe. Our words and actions must be in alignment.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:34-35 NKJV)

Love opens so many doors and heals so many wounds. When believers walk in love we walk in real power and this power changes lives. Jesus’ entire ministry was based on love. Because of love He redeemed us, claiming us as His own. As a result of His love for us, He has given each of us this assignment:

“But all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ [making us acceptable to Him] and gave us the ministry of reconciliation [so that by our example we might bring others to Him].” (II Corinthians 5:18 MSG)

It’s our example of love that will bring others to Him. Got love?
