Chosen by God!
In my quiet time God put this on my heart.
“Let’s see how inventive we can be in encouraging love and helping out, not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring each other on, especially as we see the big Day approaching.” (Hebrews 10:24-25 MSG)
As Sunday, (or the Sabbath), approaches let’s plan today to show up, not just in body, but in spirit. Let’s ask our loving Abba Father now, and each day as time for corporately fellowshipping with God approaches, to show us how we can be a blessing to our local body of believers. Let’s ask God to open our heart, minds, and eyes so we see people, their hurts, disappointments, disillusionment, dissatisfaction, helplessness, hopelessness, and so much more. Then let’s ask Him how we can encourage and refresh them in their faith and in their hope.
Attending church isn’t something we check off our “to do” list but it’s an experience, an encounter with God that should change lives. That change requires our active involvement.
We're all in different places and that's what makes it important for us to assemble together. We need each other. We are the body of Christ and just like our human bodies need every part to function efficiently, the same is true about our spiritual connection. Our interaction is so valuable. I would encourage everyone to show up so we can all grow. Each of us has a piece to the puzzle and any missing piece distorts the view. So jump in everyone we need YOU!
