What Do You Want Me to Learn, Abba Father?

Chosen by God!

I used to ask God why, now I ask Him, "What do You want me to learn in this?"

I hold on to John 16:33 AMP:

"I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]"

We've been told we're going to tribulation, trials, distress, and frustration, yet when they come we're surprised. He told us that in them we could have perfect peace because, He has, "Overcome the world. He has deprived it of power to harm us and has conquered it for us!" How powerful is that?

All we have to do is walk in it. And the way to do that is to keep our eyes on Jesus during the tribulations, trials, distresses, and frustrations we face. Know Who is in charge. We can hold on to the fact that Jesus majors in storms. He walks on water! He tells them to be still and they listen. We're going to have storms. Just remember they don't last always and Jesus is right there with us.

I am truly grateful that Jesus majors in storms! I think we'd get out of a lot of our storms a lot faster if we'd keep our eyes on Him, stop trying to figure it out, and ask Him what lesson He wants to teach us!

Be Encouraged!
