Know Your Inheritance in Christ - Part I

Chosen by God!

Sometimes we don’t realize what we have access to!

Over the next few days we are going to look at some of the gifts we’ve been given as His children:

Peace - John 14:27 AMP: “Peace I leave with you; My [own] peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. [Stop allowing yourselves to be agitated and disturbed; and do not permit yourselves to be fearful and intimidated and cowardly and unsettled.]”

When we allow ourselves to be fearful, intimidated, cowardly, and unsettled, then we haven’t accepted the gift of peace. Peace doesn’t mean the absence of trouble. It means the Presence of God in the trouble and our faith and trust that He is in control. It also means that while we may have trouble, trouble does not have the right to have us!

John 16:33 AMP: “I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]”

Love – Jeremiah 31:3 NLT: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness.

God’s love for us is not performance based. He’s not going to love us any more than He already does; nor will He love us any less than He already does.

Romans 8:38-39 AMP: “For I am convinced [and continue to be convinced—beyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Are you convinced, beyond all doubt, of God’s love for you? Do you know that nothing, absolutely nothing, can separate you from His love? We must settle this in our minds and in our hearts. God’s love for us was expressed in Christ Jesus and sealed in Christ Jesus. To deny His love for us is to deny the blood of Jesus.

A Roadmap for Life – II Timothy 3:12 TLB: “The whole Bible was given to us by inspiration from God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives; it straightens us out and helps us do what is right.”

There’s no reason why any of us should be lost or confused. He’s given us clear directions in His Word.
