Chosen by God!

During the most difficult times in our lives, we should focus on praising God. This can be difficult to do because everything in you may be trying to figure out why this is happening and a way out of what is happening. Praise brings God on the scene, because He inhabits the praises of His people.

“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” (Psalm 22:3 KJV)

Praise also stills the avenger.

"With praises from children and from tiny infants, you have built a fortress. It makes your enemies silent, and all who turn against you are left speechless." (Psalm 8:2 CEV)

Praise may not be the thing that immediately comes to mind. Though we are encouraged to cry out to God for help in the midst of our own difficult crises, it is just as important, at times, to simply praise God. In praising Him we are letting Him know that we see Him as bigger than our problems. It also tells God that no matter how things turn out we will praise Him.

Additionally praise looks good on us!

“Praise the Lord! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant, and praise is beautiful.” (Psalm 147:1 NKJV)
