Chosen by God!
Because of God’s faithful love in sending the Lord Jesus Christ to be our Savior, we should love Him with all our hearts. For Christians today it can become easy to abandon their first love for God for many reasons. Relationships take time and commitment, they don’t just happen by attention. What we spend our time on is what grows and is what is important to us.
“For where your treasure is, there your heart [your wishes, your desires; that on which your life centers] will be also.” (Matthew 6:21 AMP)
The cares of this world can distract us and cause us to make other things a priority at the expense of our intimacy with God. Before we know it our time with Him diminishes and we’re no longer as on fire as we were. We must guard against losing our focus. We must also guard against becoming so busy for Christ that we don’t spend time with Him. In all our doing we must take time to just be, be with Him.
Faith Confession:
Lord, help me to keep You a priority in life. I need You and help me to never forget that in the busyness of life.
