Choose God

Chosen by God,

I am bringing this Scripture, and a few questions, before you, for your consideration:

“By faith, after Moses was born, he was hidden by his parents for three months, because they saw that the child was beautiful, and they didn’t fear the king’s edict. By faith Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter and chose to suffer with the people of God rather than to enjoy the short-lived pleasure of sin. For he considered the reproach because of the Messiah to be greater wealth than the treasures of Egypt, since his attention was on the reward.” (Hebrews 11:23-26 HCSB)

Here’s a few questions for consideration:

Who controls your life?

Are you willing to choose God even if there are worldly consequences?

Are you willing to suffer rather than enjoy the short-lived pleasure of sin?

What has your attention?

“So fear the Lord and serve him wholeheartedly. Put away forever the idols your ancestors worshiped when they lived beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord alone. But if you refuse to serve the Lord, then choose today whom you will serve. Would you prefer the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates? Or will it be the gods of the Amorites in whose land you now live? But as for me and my family, we will serve the Lord.” (Jeremiah 24:14-15 NLT)

Not making a choice is a choice.
