A Life of Worship

Chosen by God!

We should worship God every day because of who He is and what He has done for us. The specific blessings God has given us in Christ should be the blueprint for how we live our lives. These blessings define who we are in Christ, our position before God.

Ephesians 1 outlines who we are in Christ:

We have been chosen in Christ (Ephesians 1:4),

We are redeemed by the blood of Christ (Ephesians 1:7),

We are adopted into the family of God (Ephesians 1:5), and

We are sealed with the promised Holy Spirit (Ephesians 1:13).

Psalms 145 gives us reasons we should worship and praise God:

His “glorious majesty” (Psalm 145:5a)

His “wonderful works” (Psalm 145: 5b)

His “greatness” (Psalm 145:6b)

His “goodness” (Psalm 145:7)

His “graciousness” (Psalm 145:8a)

His “compassion” (Psalm 145:8a)

His “faithful love” (Psalms 145:8b)

His provisions (Psalm 145:15)

His righteousness (Psalm 145:17)

His availability (Psalm 145: 18-19)

His protection (Psalm 145:19b)

When we know all the God has done for us through Christ, and clearly grasp who we are in Christ then worship takes on a whole new meaning. The result of these revelations will be a life of worship that honors God.
