Chosen by God!
When we worship, we should fulfill a major purpose for which God has called us—to proclaim His praises. We were created to praise Him.
“Let them praise the name of Yahweh, for He commanded, and they were created.” (Psalm 148:5 HCSB)
Our wonderful position in the family of God leads us to “sing to the Lord with thanksgiving.” Our acceptance of Jesus as Savior and Lord made us a part of God’s family. We are His. He chose us, personally picked us out.
“Even as [in His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy (consecrated and set apart for Him) and blameless in His sight, even above reproach, before Him in love.” (Ephesians 1:4 AMP)
When we know Jesus and accept all that He has done our hearts cry out HALLELUJAH! Praise the Lord! Everything we are, and all that we have are a result of God’s grace toward us in the form of the blood of Jesus, which cleanses us, making us righteous in His sight. When I think about all He has done for me I can’t help but give thanks. I’m so grateful.
Because of God’s love for us, and His amazing grace towards us, we who believe will spend eternity to with Him. That is enough to cause our hearts to overflow with thankfulness.
