Chosen by God!

To live in harmony with God’s wisdom, we must avoid any form of immorality. Sexual immorality will impact other aspects of a person’s behavior. Sex is an act where you are intimately connected to another person, and they are intimately connected to you. While the act of sex between a husband and wife is beautiful, and fulfilling, it is a sin when committed outside of marriage and that sin is committed against oneself.

“Run from sexual immorality! “Every sin a person can commit is outside the body.” On the contrary, the person who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.” (I Corinthians 6:18 HCSB)

Our bodies were made for the Lord and by the Lord.

“But you can’t say that our bodies were made for sexual immorality. They were made for the Lord, and the Lord cares about our bodies.” (I Corinthians 6:13b NLT)

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27 NKJV)

At the base of sexual morality is a lack of control which impacts every area of your life.

“For this is God’s will, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality, 4 so that each of you knows how to control his own body in sanctification and honor. (I Thessalonians 4:3-4 HCSB)

When you become comfortable with sexual immorality you can open the gate to compromise which can lead to further sin.
