Chosen by God!

To avoid the trap of immorality, we must flee from anything that might cause us to yield to sexual temptation.

“Run away from sexual immorality [in any form, whether thought or behavior, whether visual or written]. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the one who is sexually immoral sins against his own body.” (I Corinthians 6:18 AMP)

Thankfully, every temptation we will face God has provided a way out. We don’t have to give in to the temptation. We have a choice between the way out and indulging in the temptation.

“No temptation [regardless of its source] has overtaken or enticed you that is not common to human experience [nor is any temptation unusual or beyond human resistance]; but God is faithful [to His word—He is compassionate and trustworthy], and He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability [to resist], but along with the temptation He [has in the past and is now and] will [always] provide the way out as well, so that you will be able to endure it [without yielding, and will overcome temptation with joy].” (I Corinthians 10:13 AMP)

God has established safeguards in His Word. This is why it is critical for us to know the Word. It keeps us from sin.

“Your word I have treasured and stored in my heart, that I may not sin against You.” (Psalm 119:11 AMP)

As believers it is important that our lives model what our mouths are saying. People will see us more than they will listen to us. People are always watching. Our goal should be to represent God well and bring glory to His Name.
