We Have the Victory

Chosen by God!

We are continually to put on the whole armor of God so we can defeat Satan and his evil associates. Even though Satan will not ultimately be cast out of heaven until Jesus Christ comes to reign on earth, (Revelation 12:7-9: “Then war broke out in heaven: Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels also fought, but he could not prevail, and there was no place for them in heaven any longer. So the great dragon was thrown out—the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the one who deceives the whole world. He was thrown to earth, and his angels with him.), we can we defeat this evil being today. God has given us everything we need to be victorious against Satan’s wickedness and evil schemes.

We should use God’s spiritual resources so we can be victorious over Satan’s evil schemes. God did not leave us without resources or hope. We have His Word, the Holy Spirit, and the armor of God in which to combat evil. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Satan is already defeated. We can, and should, arm ourselves with the Word of God and all of the armor of God to walk in that victory.

As believers we can draw on His strength. We are not dependent on our own strength:

“I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency].” (Philippians 4:13 AMP)

He also promised that He would never leave us alone. We don’t fight this battle alone:

"For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" (Hebrews 13:5 AMP)

Jesus, Himself, has given us authority to defeat Satan:

“Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you.” (Luke 10:19 AMP)
