Chosen by God!
“But just as you excel in everything, [and lead the way] in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in genuine concern, and in your love for us, see that you excel in this gracious work [of giving] also.” (II Corinthians 8:7 AMP)
“You do so well in so many things—you trust God, you’re articulate, you’re insightful, you’re passionate, you love us—now, do your best in this, too.” (II Corinthians 8:7 MSG)
Sometimes the hardest thing to do when we have a need is to give. Yet God’s Word is all about giving.
As His child provision is ours. The key is to seek His face and not His hand. We show our Abba Father the level of the trust we have in Him by our obedience to His Word.
His Word commands us to love, to obey, to give, to tithe, and to trust Him. He was our example of sacrificial giving based on love, personified in Jesus Christ. And Jesus was our example of obedience to the will of the Father. He gave us His all. Can we do any less?
Our giving is a heart thing, and is personal, between us and God. It’s a reflection of our love for Him and our faith in Him.
Be encouraged knowing that when we stand on the Word we cannot fall! Why because God said in Jeremiah 1:12 “I am alert and active watching over My Word to perform it,” and in Isaiah 55:11 He promises that “His Word will not return to Him void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.”
Giving reflects our love for God and His people. Because God loved us, He gave Jesus. Because we love Him we give to further the Gospel and to help our brothers and sisters. When God blesses us, it’s not just about us. It’s about His Kingdom. Ultimately, we are blessed to be a blessing!
Be Encouraged! ❤
