Chosen by God!

“Don’t be afraid. I am with you. Don’t tremble with fear. I am your God. I will make you strong, as I protect you with my arm and give you victories.” (Isaiah 41:10 CEV)

Fear can be paralyzing, causes us to believe we can't win, or go any further. Yet, we have God on our side and in His Word He says:

"For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control." (II Timothy 1:7 Amplified)

We've got a spirit of:

Power

Love

A calm and well balanced mind

Discipline

Self-Control

Sounds like we've got everything we need to be victorious in any situation!

When fear grips us, let's remember what Elisha told his servant:

So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. (II Kings 6:16-17 NKJV)

Fear causes us to forget that what we see is not all that is going on. Remember, God is in control!
