Chosen by God!

When we face difficult situations, we should ask God to help us see some divine meaning in these experiences. While God is Sovereign and Romans 8:28, (“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” [AMPC]), is a truth we must not make decisions based on God fixing our mistakes. Instead we must seek God’s face before making decisions.

We should remember that God’s provision and protection are not blank checks. Our choices will have results, some good some bad. While God can, and will, thread everything together into the tapestry He’s designed for our lives, why go through unnecessary detours and delays that we create? It’s always best to check with God first. He never meant for us to do this life on our own. Bottom line, as believers who love God we should not want to knowingly break His heart by choosing sin with the thought that God will forgive us. Yes, He will. His grace, mercy, and love for us is steadfast. However, our love for Him should be reflected in our thoughts, words, and actions.

"SO, SINCE Christ suffered in the flesh for us, for you, arm yourselves with the same thought and purpose [patiently to suffer rather than fail to please God]. For whoever has suffered in the flesh [having the mind of Christ] is done with [intentional] sin [has stopped pleasing himself and the world, and pleases God], so that he can no longer spend the rest of his natural life living by [his] human appetites and desires, but [he lives] for what God wills." (I Peter 4:1-2 AMPC)
