Chosen by God!
To make right decisions, we are, first and foremost, to consult God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. The Word of God is His heart for us and His wisdom for us. When we love the Word and study it we will have wisdom and understanding.
“For the Lord grants wisdom! His every word is a treasure of knowledge and understanding.” (Proverbs 2:6 TLB)
In all we do we must spend quality time in the Word, it is the foundation, after salvation, of the Christian life. The Word is how we grow. We must know the Word for ourselves and apply it to every area of our lives.
Without the Word we cannot have faith, and we cannot have an effective prayer life.
“So then, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.” (Romans 10:17 NKJV) “Then said the Lord to me, You have seen well, for I am alert and active, watching over My word to perform it.” (Jeremiah 1:12 AMP)
When we combine reading the Word with accepting the help of the Holy Spirit to illuminate the Word we will be able to walk in the Word.
“Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things from Your law.” (Psalm 119:118 NKJV)
“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” (John 16:13 NKJV)
