Chosen by God!
Every trial is an opportunity to test our faithfulness and dedication. It's in the times of adversity, challenge that we locate where we really are in our walk. It's easy to be focused and praise God when all is well. The true test is what you do in the storms of life. It's during these times that God does His best character building in our lives. He never wastes an opportunity to make us more like Him. Knowing who you are and Whose you are strengthens you to stand firm in the storm.
We must also remember that not every challenge we face is from God. We live in a sin fallen world and that brings its own challenges and tests. We must keep in mind that God is not the author of evil. He’s a God of love. In all we face we can be comforted by the fact that it won’t/didn’t catch God by surprise and Jesus already covered it for us.
“I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]” (John 16:33 Amplified)
Even in the challenges we face we can hold on to:
“We are assured and know that [God being a partner in their labor] all things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good to and for those who love God and are called according to [His] design and purpose.” (Romans 8:28 AMP)
God can, and does, knit each challenge we face into good. It may not feel good but God promised it will work for our good.
One of the things I’ve learned in facing challenges is to ask God what is the lesson in this. What does He want me to learn? I’ve also learned each challenge prepares me for promotion by God so I can walk in my purpose.
