Knowing the Power of Positioning

Chosen by God!

“He said, Hearken, all Judah, you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you King Jehoshaphat. The Lord says this to you: Be not afraid or dismayed at this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (II Chronicles 20:15 AMPC)

Battles are fought, and won, through preparation, positioning, and knowing when to, or if we should engage. Sometimes our job is to take our position. The problem is most believers really don't know their position.

If they did they would be praying, praising, and worshipping - instead of speaking destruction and fighting battles God never intended for us to fight. Sometimes God wants to fight for us.

“You shall not need to fight in this battle; take your positions, stand still, and see the deliverance of the Lord [Who is] with you, O Judah and Jerusalem. Fear not nor be dismayed. Tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you. And Jehoshaphat bowed his head with his face to the ground, and all Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem fell down before the Lord, worshiping Him.” (II Chronicles 20:17-18 AMPC)

Some have obviously forgotten that death AND life are in the power of the tongue. Our words are creating our future.

“Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose” (Proverbs 18:20-21 MSG)

Choose your words, and your battles, wisely. Every fight is not ours and everything doesn’t require a comment from us. Sometimes the best thing we can do is to be quiet and pray.
